Let's Get Creative!

Julian Hobdy, of the J. Patrick Group, is a passionate presenter. He was the keynote speaker at the TCU Unity Celebration and offered the powerful message we needed from our graduation speaker. He gave the graduates and guests straightforward examples of authentic leadership, civic responsibility, and a call to action that they could apply in their lives and future endeavors. Thank you for partnering with the Office of Student Identity and Engagement at Texas Christian University.

I had Julian design a couple of flyers for me. His work effortlessly merges artistic ingenuity with intellectual depth. The designs were not just visually striking but also conceptually profound. In each project, this design wizard demonstrated a profound understanding of both form and function, seamlessly weaving compelling narratives through my graphics. His concepts are a testament to his discerning eye for color theory, typography, and layout, resulting in a harmonious symphony of visual elements that captivate the senses. Moreover, Julian's professionalism and unwavering commitment to delivering excellence is commendable. His capacity to listen intently during client briefs, engage in thoughtful discourse, and then execute with precision is nothing short of remarkable. I felt like he could literally design any thought, thing, or feeling that I could name. Working with him has certainly been an inspiring journey into the world of design - an opportunity not to be missed for anyone seeking brilliance in graphic design!

As a consultant for us, Julian Hobdy has brought innumerable gifts to the position of Associate Director of Black/ Africana Church Studies ("BACS"). As a Perkins alum, he is richly equipped with theological knowledge as well as the practical ministerial training evident in his anointed pastoral work. Julian's  energy, excitement and dedication to the ministry of BACS is palpable. He has developed an effective working relationship with faculty, staff, and students, all of whom appear to regard him highly. His heart and passion for the ministry of the Black/ Africana Church Studies program. Since taking on the role of Associate Director, Julian has worked diligently in multiple capacities including preacher, presider of worship, liturgist, and musician as well as worship planner in several BACS services. Julian has also worked behind the scenes in organizing and coordinating worship events by securing participants, planning the program, and working with the Perkins Worship team to ensure that events go off without a hitch.

Julian Hobdy is a gifted creative and gifted speaker, plain and simple. We’ve worked on several projects, and each one has been a joy to collaborate with him on, from the creative discovery process to the implementation of the concept. I’ve never been disappointed. He just has a way of taking the vague and making it extraordinary. His ability to connect with the client is refreshing and calming. It’s amazing to see his creative process at work! He is a cutting-edge thought leader. His arrow is definitely pointed up. I anxiously await what’s in store for him. I have no doubt he is up for the task.

Julian is detailed, has incredible vision, and always delivered services with exquisite punctuality. The J.
