As a consultant for us, Julian Hobdy has brought innumerable gifts to the position of Associate Director of Black/ Africana Church Studies ("BACS"). As a Perkins alum, he is richly equipped with theological knowledge as well as the practical ministerial training evident in his anointed pastoral work. Julian's energy, excitement and dedication to the ministry of BACS is palpable. He has developed an effective working relationship with faculty, staff, and students, all of whom appear to regard him highly. His heart and passion for the ministry of the Black/ Africana Church Studies program. Since taking on the role of Associate Director, Julian has worked diligently in multiple capacities including preacher, presider of worship, liturgist, and musician as well as worship planner in several BACS services. Julian has also worked behind the scenes in organizing and coordinating worship events by securing participants, planning the program, and working with the Perkins Worship team to ensure that events go off without a hitch.
